NYE 2011 BYE 2010!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We're off to Amsterdam with Kristi, Batu, Luis and San to see the fireworks. Not sure how we're gonna get back since public transport stops at 8pm and starts again tomorrow at 6.40am...ugh. Lets hope taxies are working!
Everyone have a great NYE where ever in the world you are.

Love,

Soooft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur

Today I realized year 2011 is gonna be awe-some, ace, fantastic, superb, the best it could ever be.
No doubt, Gwen Stefani! ha ha ha

Ansku came round today, for a longer visit then planned! Whoop!
Nap time
Varkaus sightseeing
Playing Yatzy in Walter -pub with...stroopwaffles. Clearly missing Holland?
And who won? By 1 point? Me! TALENT.
Typical Finnish "winners moves"! Nah, just trying to do 50 wrist push-ups with ending up doing 0.
Then what did we go do? Go see JP's kittieees and BOOK ANSKU AND JP FLIGHTS TO AMSTERDAM! Queensday be aware, we'll be there! Selling Finnish snow! Since Wikipedia states the following: "Queen's Day is known for its "freemarket" (Dutch: vrijmarkt) all over the country, where everybody is allowed to sell things in the streets."
My favorite one

Tomorrow I leave back to Haarlem. Could have actually stayed at home for a few more days.
But great people, DUWO -life and NYE in Amsterdam should be worth going back for!

My favorite hand Q2

The past two days have been super. A huge thanks for that goes to Lasse and JP who have been active enough to arrange all coool activities for us! Kiitos, gracias, merci, thank you.

Yesterday:

Poker-evening!
I truly liked that game more when I was clueless about the rules and tactics - the time when my winning percentage still was 100 (and that was for quite a while I must say. (no, this is not sarcasm)).
Can't say I wouldn't enjoy a game of poker once in a while, though. Great fun!

Today:

Sledding and playing hockey!

Tomorrow Ansku is coming round! Yeyey! Mussupa!
NYE soon! Any plans?

MerryHappy and the hyggepiece

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hyvää Joulua!

Did Santa visit you, too?
He did visit us and brought dad a HYGGE! As you can see, mum also got pretty excited about it.
I ordered it from Overboard.fi. A huge hit in the snowboarding scene atm, I've heard haha.
Be the first of your friends and go get your own Hygge here now! It's well warm at least in these -30 temperatures of Finland.;-)

My friend, Lasse-Santa, brought me this:
Now I'm off to practice some magic so I can irritate Annaïs with my cool tricks 'cos she's been doing that to me with her card tricks! (it took me like 10min to find the secret pocket of that hat..we'll see how long it takes to find the magician in me)

Enjoy the best Christmas 2010!

Live to Linda

I've been getting questions about the name of my blog - where does it come from and what does it mean?

Firstly:
Live = in this case means not the verb "to live" but the adjective "live"
Secondly:
You know how e.g. in the news they say "And now live to our reporter Alice in New York"?
Yeah, well that's what livetolinda means "And now live to Linda"

The idea just came to my mind since I'm on exchange, and this blog is a way for you all to concretely see what I'm experiencing and maybe experience with me and be a part of my journey via imagination or for real.
Hope you got the idea of "Live to Linda" now. ;-)

Now a peek to our Xmas (food)

PS: A big Thank You to llaura for listing my blog as one of her top10+3 favorites out of her "link your blog" -post. You can check out Laura's lovely blog out here. She is probably one of my fave collage makers!

Here a Finnish artist, Jenni Vartiainen. My mum loves this song.

Oooh and I can't wait for tomorrow since I bought the coolest gift for my dad and I can't wait to see him open it haha! A little hint: it's a growing hit in the Finn' youth's, mostly snowboarding, scene I would say. It definitely is a gift he would never think of getting. Hope he likes it. ;-) I'll show you later.

Scribble scrabble

Ate my first Christmas foods today at grandparents house. I'm starting Christmas way too early this year! Very unlike me. Oh how great it was to see granny and grandad, they're just too cute.
Also, seeing JP, Taavi, Jussi, Hene and Peksi brought a huuuge smile to my face. Playing pool and scrabble was great fun haha. And who won? OF COURSE ME for pool (JP forget the first round, that was me just warming up) and OF COURSE ME AND JP for scrabble.
I love being home.
